Chef Elizabeth Folkert
Baking and Pastry Arts Instructor
Chef Elizabeth Folkert joined the staff of Baker College’s Culinary Institute of Michigan with the opening of the CIM facility in 2009. Chef Folkert is a graduate of Baker College of Muskegon where she received her Associate Degree from the Culinary Arts Program. Elizabeth’s memberships and certifications include:
- Member, American Culinary Federation (ACF), West Michigan Lakeshore Chapter MI 122
- Secretary, ACF, West Michigan Lakeshore Chefs Association
- Co-Coach of the Student Knowledge Bowl Competition
- TeamServSafe Certified
- Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certified
Chef Elizabeth has spent several years as a baker at the Alpenrose Restaurant in Holland, Michigan, where she enjoys creating seasonal dessert menus, traditional German desserts, and other pastries and treats. She is very happy to be working with the CIM staff in their awesome new facility.
