What started in 1997 with just 40 students has grown to become one of the top culinary arts colleges. Our new, 39,000-square-foot facility in downtown Muskegon, with its full-service restaurant, pastry and coffee shop, will make it possible to do even more to ensure our students graduate with solid credentials in the culinary arts as well as the real-life experience that strengthens their knowledge and professionalism.
Like every program at Baker College, our culinary programs and degrees are designed to ensure our graduates have the skills and education they need to be successful throughout challenging and rewarding careers.
Curriculum We’re more than a cooking school. We immerse our students in both the art and business of the culinary arts in a curriculum structured to combine personalized instruction and hands-on training with plenty of real-world experience.

Faculty Our instructors are working professionals in the food service industry, and our current instructor-to-student ratio is the lowest of any culinary program in the state. That means our students get lots of one-on-one attention and hands-on experience.
